What is Fear?
Fear is your body's way of trying to help you - to give you what you need to be able to escape or fight what is in front of you - this is the fight or flight response that you may have heard of.
This adrenaline fueled reaction by the body is designed for survival- so that you could run away from a snake in the jungle, or avoid falling off a mountain. Both pretty useful to our more distant ancestors.
However, our world has changed at a faster pace than our bodies, and so most of the fears people have today are more imagined - for example it is not logical to fear a feather, or a button or a house spider, but lots of people do - to them the fear is real and the response that their body has is just as dramatic as if they had walked into the path of a sabre toothed tiger.
